The Lodz University of Technology has started the process of accession to the structures of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology in the Health pillar (EIT Health). The official accession of the university to the European consortium is planned during the meeting of Polish EIT Health Partners, which will be held at the university on May 6.
The European Institute of Innovation and Technology is an independent body of the European Commission operating within the structure of the Horizon Europe program. It was established to strengthen innovation in key areas of the European Union’s development. The partners from Polish universities at EiT Health include: the University of Warsaw, the Medical University of Gdańsk and the Medical University of Łódź.
“Our scientists conduct a lot of research that fits very well with the objectives of the European consortium for innovative technologies and services to improve the health of the society. I hope that thanks to this cooperation it will be possible to implement many joint projects created at the Lodz University of Technology, informs Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, the rector of Lodz University of Technology.
