Przemysław Czarnek, the minister of education and science, took part in the ceremonial inauguration of the activities of the Interdepartmental Didactics Center of the Pomeranian Medical University. The investment was financed by a grant from the Ministry of Education and Science. For this purpose, the ministry has allocated almost PLN 37 million.

New laboratories are an opportunity to develop research and teaching potential. Currently, university employees are carrying out preclinical tests of new biologically active compounds. Thanks to them, in the future, new anti-cancer, immunomodulating and analgesic drugs, as well as antibacterial and antiviral drugs will be developed.

“The development of medical faculties in Poland, with a very high demand for medical staff in every area, is a priority of the Polish policy, hence the acceptation of applications submitted by the PUM authorities, hence 37 million PLN support for the development of the Pomeranian Medical University. This is in the interest of the state and the entire Polish society”, said the minister during the inauguration.
