The modernization of the interiors of the historic building of the Rector’s Office of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin has been completed. After three years of work, the building regained its historic colors and original splendor, and was adapted for people with disabilities. The investment cost over PLN 6 million.

The building of the rector’s office was built in 1903 as a residential villa for the directors of the vocational school complex: the Royal School of Construction (Königlische Baugewerkschule), the Royal School of Mechanical Engineering (Königliche Maschinenbauschule) and the Royal School of Ship Engineers (Königliche Seemaschinistenschule).

As part of the renovation, restoration works were carried out with the restoration of the historical colors and the unveiling of the polychrome of the staircase on the plan of an irregular hexagon, the maintenance of the stucco work on the first and second floors, maintenance and restoration of internal carpentry, replacement of floors with the preservation and partial reconstruction of terrazzo floors.
