A scientist at the Faculty of Physical Education and Physiotherapy at the Opole University of Technology has won the Mieczysław Bekker’s scholarship program. Dr Sebastian Rutkowski went on an internship at the Italian Institute of Intelligent Industrial Technologies and Systems for Advanced Production of the National Research Council (STIMA).

The Institute focuses on developing methodology, technologies and prototypes enabling intuitive and safe cooperation between man and machine.

STIMA deals with the development of scientific and technological solutions for neuromotor rehabilitation and the control of mechatronic devices, virtual and augmented reality solutions for safe physical interaction between humans and robots; technologically devices related to the tracking and intuitive interpretation of human movement and intentions as well as cognitive and semantic interfaces.
