The main points of the agreement strengthening cooperation between the Opole University of Technology and the Ukrainian Institute of Steel Structures in Kiev include joint research, conferences and staff exchange.
Cooperation between the two institutions began several years ago. So far, there have been joint scientific conferences and staff exchanges.
“It is important, especially in this new situation, to open up to various new fields, research. The Institute has many branches in different parts of the country, steel structures dominate the construction industry because they are light, useful, and quick to assemble, so it will be very interesting cooperation. We can also strive for, for example, joint EU projects, especially as Ukraine is trying to join the European Union”, says Professor Zbigniew Zembaty, dean of the Faculty of Construction and Architecture at the Opole University of Technology.
