Two venture capital funds, Aligo VC and Sunfish Partners, have invested PLN 2.2 million in Smarter Diagnostics, a start-up from the University of Warsaw. This will enable the development of a tool for analysing magnetic resonance images of the lower limb.
SmarterAchillesMRI uses artificial intelligence technology to significantly speed up the diagnosis of the Achilles tendon and provide injury prevention. The new diagnostic method is particularly useful in the sports, where the effectiveness of injury prevention can be crucial to sustained training.
SmarterAchillesMRI is the base software that analyses the images produced during a magnetic resonance imaging examination of the ankle joint area. Orthopaedic and sports medicine facilities can use it to enhance diagnosis and injury prevention. However, if an injury does occur, it can also be used to analyse it more accurately and select an appropriate treatment method.
