The Jury of the Prof. Tadeusz Kotarbinski Prize has selected 5 works that will compete for the title of the best humanities work published in Poland in 2021. The author of the winning work, to be selected from the final five, will receive PLN 50,000 from the University of Łódź for further scientific development. The award ceremony will take place on 29 January 2023.
The nominated works include: Dr Maria Ferenc’s ‘Everyone asks what will happen to us. The inhabitants of the Warsaw Ghetto towards the news of the war and the Holocaust’ published by the Jewish Historical Institute; Dr Agnieszka Gajewska ‘Stanisław Lem. Banished from the High Castle. Biografia”, published by Wydawnictwo Literackie; Dr Magdalena Koźluk “Pierre Jacquelot, L’Art de vivre longuement sous le nom de Médée”, published by Classiques Garnier; Dr Maciej Świerkocki “Ulysses’ Łódź”, published by Officyna; Dr Cezary Wąs “God’s Shadow in the Philosopher’s Garden. Parc de La Villette in Paris in the context of the philosophy of chôra’, published by the University of Wrocław Publishing House.
