The Research Meta Centre operates at the University of Wrocław. Its main task is to assess methodological quality and the risk of bias in scientific research. The research unit was established as part of the University of Wrocław – Research University project.

The Centre’s researchers analyse research methods and practices in order to improve and standardise the research process and thus aim to improve the rational management of research resources.  The scope of the Centre’s research activities spans a variety of scientific disciplines.

Currently, some researchers are focusing on clinical research methodologies in health and infant nutrition. The rest of the team is looking at research methodology in mental health as part of the OPUS project funded by the National Science Centre. The Meta Research Centre cooperates closely with a number of scientific institutions in Poland and internationally, publishing its research results in influential scientific journals.
