The University of Silesia (UŚ) is in the process of implementing IT tools to improve the functioning of the university. The main focus is on the digitisation of the university and the optimisation of the processes carried out at the university. The effects of the measures taken will gradually become apparent in the current academic year.

An Electronic Document Management (EZD) system is being implemented at the university. Work is also underway to optimise and digitise processes related to the recruitment of candidates for all forms of education, the course of studies and the electronicisation of processes related to the handling of civil law contracts.

The university is also implementing a system for managing research and teaching-artistic infrastructure. The system will make it possible not only to keep electronic records of equipment, but also to carry out many processes related to its use in a fully electronic manner. In addition, the system will allow an extensive analysis of the use of the equipment.
