Three polytechnic universities from Eastern Poland: Lublin, Białystok and Rzeszów, as part of the President of the Republic of Poland Lech Kaczyński’s Via Carpatia Polytechnic Network, received PLN 30 million (PLN 10 million each) for the implementation of 10 scientific, educational and commercialisation programmes. The funds are provided by the Ministry of Education and Science.
The universities have just announced the first competitions. The “Emerging Innovators” competition is open to secondary school students whose ideas can find practical application in the work of businesses. “NAUKOLATEK – Teenage Scientist” is a proposal for outstanding secondary school students.
The PO SĄSIEDZKU competition is open to scientists with at least a doctoral degree who plan to undertake a 1, 2 or 3-month research internship at one of the universities that are part of the VIA CARPATIA Polytechnic Network in order to start or continue scientific research. The ISKRA competition consists in financing scientific research or research and development works carried out by inter-university research teams of the Via Carpatia Polytechnic Network.
