Dr Sebastian Klich from the Department of Paralympic Sport at the Academy of Physical Education in Wrocław has won a prestigious Fulbright scholarship. Under it, the scientist will carry out a research project at the American University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
During the six-month trip, Dr Klich will deal with the project “Physiological and biomechanical analysis of loading to shoulder girdle: an acute effect of fatigue in swimmers”, which aims to analyse the physiological and biomechanical mechanisms of fatigue in the shoulder girdle.
The Fulbright Senior Award is a scholarship programme enabling people employed at Polish academic and scientific institutions to carry out independent research or research and teaching projects at host institutions in the USA, reads the website of the Wrocław-based university.
