The Department of Meat Technology and Chemistry at the University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) in Olsztyn is implementing a European project on sustainable meat production. The aim of the project is to create innovative educational materials for the education of future meat workers.
The project InnoMeatEdu: Innovative digital tools for higher education in sustainable meat production science: connecting industry with academia is being implemented as part of the Erasmus + Partnership.
The project is coordinated by the University of León, Spain. In addition to the Spanish university and UWM, the participating universities are the University of Thessaly (Greece), the University of Parma (Italy), the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (Portugal), the Centre for Meat Technology in Ourense (Spain) and 4Obs, a consultancy company from Greece.
The business representatives in this project are 34 companies representing the meat industry. Poland is represented by: Animex Foods, GoodValley, Mielewczyk and “Gospodarka Mięsna” as a representative of the trade press.
