The Polish telemedicine company SiDLY has inaugurated a scientific project in cooperation with the Medical University of Lodz, which aims to implement telemonitoring for the treatment of people with heart failure and to evaluate its effectiveness in terms of early detection of patient deterioration, more effective treatment and reduction of adverse effects.
Soon, 100 participants in the Lodz study will be remotely monitored using the SiDLY Care Pro telemedicine wristband. The study will last 12 months for each participant, and the results are expected to provide an answer to the question of whether the solution will improve the function and quality of life of chronic heart failure patients with reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (HFrEF).
The results obtained in the study group will be compared with data from a 50-patient control group of patients with an identical disease profile but no telemonitoring. The data transmitted from the armband, including monitoring of physical activity and physiological parameters, will be crucial to the project.
