Students of the Silesian Academy in Katowice will design a park with a vineyard in Cieszyn. The project is being carried out in partnership with the city of Cieszyn. The municipal government will fund prizes for the authors of the best works.

Students of the fourth and sixth semesters of Architecture at the Silesian Academy took part in a research walk before starting their design work. The visit to the slopes of Liburnia in Cieszyn was aimed at learning about the conditions, qualities and in situ research of the area covered by the student competition for a new vision of the area of the former “Winogrady”.

Contact with the realities of local government is an important part of the training of future architects and urban planners at the Katowice Academy. The challenge the students will face is to combine the “fourth nature”, public space and a demonstration vineyard on the slopes of the former “Winogrady”.
