Maja Stankowska, Klaudia Ryś and Mateusz Baranowski – students of the Faculty of Architecture at Wrocław University of Technology – have won the main prize of the international competition Intuiture2075. The main task was to design a self-sufficient housing estate for 150 housing units, which could exist in the year 2075.
The winning concept divides the estate into three zones containing: residential units supplemented by hostel rooms (coliving), terraced houses (cohousing) and detached single-family homes. In addition, three service centres with different functions have been located on the site: commercial, educational and agri-farming, which include co-working zones, a community centre, orchards, vertical farms and permaculture crops.
The competition was organised by the 361bit platform and students from more than 30 universities from eleven countries took part. An international jury awarded three main prizes and twelve honorable mentions.
