From 11 to 14 August, the Canadian International Rover Challenge 2023 (CIRC 2023) took place in Drumheller, in the Canadian province of Alberta. Seventeen teams from around the world participated in the competition.

Teams from Poland excelled in the competition. The winner was the AGH Space Systems team from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków. Second place went to the Husky Robotics team from the University of Washington, and third place to the Raptors from the Technical University of Łódź.

Teams competing in the Canadian International Rover Challenge 2023 had to tackle five missions that differed significantly from those encountered at other such competitions. They included simulated tasks that the inhabitants of a colony on an extraterrestrial planet might face in the future. The AGH team proved to be the best in as many as 4 of them.
