Researchers of the Wrocław University of Economics have been included in the prestigious ranking of the world’s most cited scientists in the World’s Top 2 Percent Scientists published by Elsevier.

The list of the most frequently cited scientists, taking into account publication output, includes almost 210,000 authors from 166 countries worldwide, including more than a thousand from Polish research centres. It includes the output of researchers from 22 disciplines and 174 subfields according to the standard Science-Metrix classification.

The ranking, which assesses scientific output from the beginning of a career, includes Prof. Stanisław Heilpern. Meanwhile, Prof. Eng. Arkadiusz Piwowar was included in the list of scientists most cited in 2022.

The list of the top 2% most cited scientists in the world is compiled jointly by analysts from Stanford University, Elsevier Publishing and SciTech Strategies based on data from the Scopus database as of 1 October 2023 updated to the end of 2022.
