Gdansk University of Technology wins Elsevier Research Impact Leaders Award

Gdansk University of Technology (PG) has won the Elsevier Research Impact Leaders Award in the Engineering&Technologies category. The award is given to universities that have the greatest impact on research in Poland and thus contribute to better recognition of Polish science abroad. PG was recognised for increasing its publication output, including, among other things, citations above the world average.

According to the award justification, “the works of the university’s authors were cited above the world average, 10 % of them were in the first decile of the most cited, and more than 20 % were published in the top 10 % of journals. International collaborations occurred on more than 40 % of the papers affiliated to this university.”

The award was established in 2016 by Elsevier, a global information analytics company. It is awarded in six categories: Engineering&Technologies, Agricultural Sciences, Humanities, Medical Sciences, Natural Sciences and Social Sciences.
