Researchers at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń win grants from the National Centre for Research and Development

Two researchers from the Interdisciplinary Centre for New Technologies at Nicolaus Copernicus University (UMK) in Toruń have won grants from the National Centre for Research and Development under the LIDER programme. Dr Paweł Pomastowski, Professor at the Nicolaus Copernicus University (UMK), and Dr Piotr Kamedulski were awarded a total of almost three million PLN for the implementation of their projects.

Dr Paweł Pomastowski, Professor at the Nicolaus Copernicus University, was awarded PLN 1,494,945 for the project “Development of a preparative method for the isolation of biologically active lactoferrin”. Dr Piotr Kamedulski was awarded funding of PLN 1 499 500 for the project ‘3D structured electrode materials and multifunctional filter materials using carbon nanostructures’.

LIDER is a programme for young researchers. Its aim is to broaden their competence in independently planning research work and managing their own research team, while carrying out research projects whose results may have practical application and implementation potential.
