The University of Bialystok (UwB) has joined the European University Association (EUA), which brings together more than 850 European universities from 49 countries, is a key player in the Bologna Process and in influencing EU policy on higher education, research and innovation.
“With 17 million students in more than 850 universities of all types, the European University Association is shaping the future of Europe and the world at large and influencing the development of societies, economies and cultures. We join a family of European universities where the highest standards of education and research are maintained. Belonging to this family will allow our researchers, students and doctoral students to participate in various international projects, events, conferences and seminars”, said Prof. Izabela Święcicka, UwB Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation.
As UwB emphasises in the communiqué, membership of the EUA also means strengthening the role of Bialystok University on the international arena.
