West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin applies for the status of a European University

The West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin (ZUT) is applying for European University status. The university has become a member of the international EUNICoast consortium.

The EUNICoast alliance brings together 13 universities located on islands and in coastal areas of Europe. In addition to ZUT, it includes: Université Le Havre Normandie (France), Universidade dos Açores (Portugal), Universidad de las Islas Baleares (Spain), Università degli Studi di Sassari (Italy), Burgas Free University (Bulgaria), University of Patras (Greece), Fróðskaparsetur Føroya (Denmark), Sveučilište u Dubrovniku (Croatia), Université des Antilles (France), Högskolan på Åland (Finland), EMUNI University (Slovenia), Hochschule Stralsund (Germany.

European Universities is a kind of transnational alliance of higher education institutions. They are united by a long-term strategy in the field of education, the promotion of European values and the strengthening of European identity.
