The Center for Physical Education and Sport of the University of Gdańsk invites participants to an open lecture by Dick Helm – a graduate of the prestigious Wheaton College, teacher, lecturer and coach in NBA teams. The lecture “The leadership is about …” will take place on November 16.

Dick Helm graduated from Wheaton College in 1955. Until the mid-1980s, he served as a trainer and sports director at Judson College and at Wheaton College. After completing his university-level work, he was offered a job as a scout trainer for the Seattle Supersonics NBA team.

For the next 15 years, Helm served as the first assistant to Seattle Supersonics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Atlanta Hawks, Toronto Raptors and New York Knicks. His career in the NBA enabled him to conduct coaching workshops and give lectures on coaching aspect, leadership, personal development, management and motivation.
