Medical University of Gdańsk to launch Welcome Center

The Medical University of Gdansk (GUM) has received over a quarter of a million PLN from the National Academic Exchange Agency as part of the Welcome to Poland competition. That money will allow the university to implement the “Welcome Center” project.

The university will provide students and foreign staff with an information and contact point – so-called Welcome Center. A special website for students and teachers from abroad will also be created, and study visits at partner universities will allow to learn good practices in this area.
The goal is to increase the level of internationalization by developing interpersonal, cultural, linguistic and professional skills of national and foreign employees dealing with students on a daily basis.

As part of the project, trainings, workshops and seminars will be carried out to improve the qualifications of employees and to support of the foreign guests.
