– Not everyone is an enthusiast of reforming research institutes,- said Jarosław Gowin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and Higher Education. The Ministry of Science, however, has a plan to accelerate the reform.

Last year the Ministry of Science and Higher Education presented a plan to merge all research institutes in Poland into one network, which would be one of the largest institutions of this type in Europe.

In the opinion of Deputy Prime Minister Gowin, the network is to build a bridge between science and the economy and to be an effective technological and intellectual background for public administration. The head of the Ministry of Science announced that work on this solution has been accelerated and the entire reform will be carried out by April 2019.
