The Institute of Psychology and the Institute of Sociology, Philosophy and Journalism of the University of Gdańsk invite participants to the conference on “Woman in Culture”, which will be held on 8 March under the slogan “Women and Men: Activism, Protest, Social Change”.

During the conference, topics related to social change, actions for equality, improvement of community life, presence of women in science and challenges for women engaging in stereotypically “masculine” activities and career paths will be discussed.

– We want our experts to share personal experiences of people involved in changing the world around. We want to discuss the joys and challenges that social activism brings – says Dr Tomasz Besta, co-organizer of the event.

The cycle “Woman in Culture” has been carried out for over a dozen years and is addressed to anyone interested in combining scientific research with social practice.
