The Jan Kochanowski University (UJK) in Kielce has obtained the right to award PhD titles in the legal science discipline. It qualifies Kielce to the elite academic centers educating lawyers – said Prof. Jerzy Jaskiernia, dean of the Faculty of Law, Administration and Management of UJK.
Prof. Jerzy Jaskiernia emphasized that the development of the scientific staff was decisive.
– In Warsaw and Krakow, the organization of academic staff educating lawyers is simple. In Kielce we started almost from scratch, and today our legal staff consists of 12 professors and post PhD holders, 21 PhD holders in legal sciences. They are Kielce inhabitants. This creates a perspective for the future – believes Prof. Jerzy Jaskiernia.
The first PhD courses in the field of legal sciences are scheduled to start in April this year.
