Deputy Minister of Education and Science Dariusz Piontkowski gave the authorities of the Academy of Applied Sciences in Łomża a symbolic check for the amount of nearly PLN 4.5 million. These are funds that the university will receive as part of increasing the subsidy for 2022. A total of PLN 136 million will be received by vocational schools throughout Poland.

Deputy Minister Piontkowski emphasized that the funds were allocated as a percentage for the basic subsidy algorithm among individual universities. Also, the development potential of the university and the number of its students were taken into account.

The Academy of Applied Sciences in Łomża will allocate the amount obtained to educating students in accordance with the needs of the current local labor market. Thanks to the support, the competitiveness of universities will be strengthened. The transferred funds will also contribute to the development of cooperation between science and business.
