The Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (UAM) has maintained its position in the Academic Ranking of World Univerisities. The university, as it did last year, ranked between 901 and 1000 among the top 5% of universities in the world.
Compared to last year, UAM recorded an increase (by 0.3 points) in the indicators assessing publications in Nature and Science and staff activity (per capita performance). The indicator assessing papers indexed in the Science Citation Index-Expanded and the Social Science Citation Index of the Web of Science database scored 0.3 points less than last year.
This year, 11 universities from Poland were classified in the ranking. The Shanghai ranking evaluates universities using data on Nobel Prize and Fields Medal winners, the highest cited papers, articles published in Nature and Science, and data from the Science Citation Index-Expanded and Social Science Citation Index databases (Clarivate Analytics).
