Researchers from Wrocław University of Technology win the Miniature competition of the National Science Centre

Two Wrocław University of Technology researchers have won financing for their projects in the Miniatura competition organised by the National Science Centre. Miniatura winners receive between PLN 5,000 and PLN 50,000 for up to twelve months of preliminary/pilot research, queries, a research internship, a research or consultancy trip.

Dr Eng. Vishnu Suresh has been awarded a grant of over PLN 40k for the project ‘Real-time verified energy management systems based on deep learning microgrids’. The research work will involve the development of an AI/ML/DL-based forecasting model for solar photovoltaics in a solar-rich microgrid.

Dr Eng. Agnieszka Szumilas will carry out the project ‘Assessment of the feasibility of car-free solutions for Polish housing estates based on the experience of the German estate Vauban, Freiburg’. The Vauban estate in Freiburg is one of the few large car-free housing developments completed.
