The Adam Mickiewicz University (UAM) in Poznań is making efforts to set up a medical faculty at the UAM Nadnotecki Institute in Piła. The university has obtained a PLN 40 million targeted grant for this purpose. The transfer of the funding in bonds was announced by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during a visit to Piła.

‘I am glad that all the citizens of Piła will benefit from the fact that here this academic centre, an external institution of the Adam Mickiewicz University, a branch, will get stronger’, said the head of government.

The money will be used to adapt the building where the UAM branch is located and to purchase the necessary equipment for the future prosectorium and the multifunctional Medical Simulation Centre. The Poznan university intends for the Piła branch to start training 60 future doctors next year.
