Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Science and Higher Education Jarosław Gowin, Minister of Entrepreneurship and Technology Jadwiga Emilewicz, the Małopolska voivode Piotr Ćwik and the authorities of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow participated in the opening of the new building of the Faculty of Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunications of the Kraków University.

In the era of intense technological progress, specialized education in the field of ICT, telecommunications or cybersecurity is one of the areas to put a decisive emphasis – said Deputy Prime Minister Gowin during the ceremony. In such places the future of the Polish economy is coined.

The new building has been constructed for the students of the Department of Telecommunications. The laboratories ultra-fast computer networks, LTE 4G / 5G cellular systems and wireless ICT networks will be launched in it.
