The AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow is launching a new popular science platform called pop!science. The channel available on YouTube will be a meeting place for science enthusiasts and discussion about the most important contemporary problems.
Pop!science arises from the need to provide even broader information in an accessible way about the most important research, discoveries and solutions emerging at Polish and foreign universities.
The recording studio was created in the industrial space of one of the halls at the Foundry Department. In the studio’s scenography, apart from elements referring to the industrial character of the place, guests can also find Senster – a cybernetic, interactive sculpture from the 1960s, by Edward Ihnatowicz, which was restored by AGH and the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow a few years ago.
The authors of the new project are the AGH UST Communication and Marketing Center, which implements the program with the support of the AGH Media Center.
