Archbishop Jan Romeo Pawłowski, known for his diplomatic service as an attaché in the Holy See, Secretary of the Apostolic Nunciature in Congo, South Africa, Chad, Thailand, Brazil and France, and currently Apostolic Nuncio in Greece, received the Stefan Cardinal Wyszyński Award at the Catholic University of Lublin (KUL).

The Association of Graduates and Friends of the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Lublin (KUL) awards the Stefan Cardinal Wyszyński Prize for outstanding scientific, didactic, professional or organisational achievements aimed at spreading Catholic principles, in accordance with the Deo et Patriae (God and Homeland) principle.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Education and Science, Przemysław Czarnek, last year’s winner of the Primate of the Millennium Award.

Another distinguished Pole is being honoured at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. The fact that Archbishop Pawłowski has accepted the award is a vote in defence of Christian values.
