The Świętokrzyskie Oncology Centre (ŚCO) and the Information Processing Centre (OPI) have signed an agreement on the implementation of joint scientific projects. Thanks to the established cooperation, joint initiatives will be carried out to support oncology diagnostics.
As part of the agreement, a project to support the Polish scientific community will be implemented. Among other things, it involves the preparation of an open collection of digital histopathological images of the prostate.
As part of the agreement, both parties have committed themselves to carrying out scientific research and research and development projects in the area of, among other things, developing reference data sets for research into methods of assisting diagnosis that take into account the widest possible range of available data types (e.g.: histopathological, radiological, clinical).
It was also decided that the ŚCO and the OPI will jointly publish in recognised scientific journals, and will apply for funding for joint projects through a call for tenders to identify research teams conducting scientific activities in the form of a Virtual Research Institute.
