The PolSl Racing Student Scientific Association, operating at the Silesian University of Technology, took third place in the general classification of electric cars during the first-ever Formula Student Poland competition on the Autodrom Słomczyn racetrack.
During the competition, the students presented the SW04-e electric car, which was built as a continuation of the work and development of the systems used in last year’s SW03-e prototype version. The vehicle’s superstructure, suspension system, power transmission system and aerodynamic package have been improved in the new car. The newer styling of the car was developed using Class A surface modelling tools.
Formula Student is an international competition to create a race car. Vehicles designed by young engineers must meet certain technical requirements, including those concerning the engine, braking system, suspension and aerodynamic package.
