The winners of the XXXI Professor Adam Smolinski Polish Committee of Optoelectronics (PKOpto) competition for the best diploma theses in optoelectronics have been announced. Its winner was Kamil Stankiewicz, from the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, for the thesis ‘Development of an optoelectronic system for high optical power accumulation in the context of fundamental physics studies’.
Second degree prizes were awarded to Piotr Arcab from the Warsaw University of Technology, and Mikołaj Krakowski from the Wrocław University of Science and Technology.
The jury also awarded four Third Degree Prizes, which were presented to: Marcin Jastrzębski, Sebastian Borówka, Aleksandra Szymańska – all from Warsaw University of Technology, and Tomasz Jankowski from Warsaw University of Technology.
Sixteen distinctions were also awarded in the competition. Full list of award winners:
