Two of the largest public higher schools in Białystok received European Erasmus Cards. As a result, the Białystok University of Technology and the University of Białystok will be able to continue foreign exchange students for the next 6 years.
The Erasmus Charter for Higher Education is awarded by the European Commission. It entitles to apply for funding for scholarship mobility of students and employees.
Aleksandra Toczydłowska, the spokesman of the Białystok University of Technology emphasizes that the university has organized students’ trips not only to European Union countries, but also to Ecuador, Vietnam, Algeria and Russia. In 2020 alone, the university received over one million euros for visits of foreign students and lecturers.
The University of Bialystok sends and receives several dozen students each year as part of international exchange.
