Both universities are planning to make a special report by March 2020, which will examine the possibilities of merging the Bialystok University of Technology and the University of Bialystok.

On the basis of the report, universities will be able to make a possible decision on whether and in what form to merge. Over 900,000 PLN will be allocated to prepare a detailed analysis of the effects and benefits of a possible merger of two universities. The funds were obtained by the Bialystok University of Technology and the University of Bialystok as part of the project of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education “Supporting university consolidation processes”.
