President of Poland participates in the inauguration of the academic year at the AGH University of Science and Technology

The Krakow AGH University of Science and Technology has been supporting the Polish state for a hundred years – said President Andrzej Duda during Saturday’s main celebrations of the university’s jubilee. He emphasized that the requirements for students are very high and only the best pupils have a chance to get to the university.

The President of Poland participated in the ceremony inaugurating the 101st year of AGS’s activity. Jarosław Gowin, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Science and Higher Education also participated in the event.

– I want to thank on behalf of the sovereign, independent and free Republic of Poland for the extraordinary effort of scientific works, research and educating many generations of young Polish engineers who brought and bring us pride working at universities and companies around the world – said the president.

He added that each of the AGH UST graduates is perfectly prepared to practice their profession. He noted that university graduates are the best paid engineers and managers in Poland.
