As part of the VIA CARPATIA Polytechnic Network, Bialystok University of Technology (PB) has developed an offer of research and development services that presents the research, equipment and intellectual capabilities of the university’s individual departments.

A team coordinated by Dr Sławomir Obidziński, Professor PB, worked on the preparation of the offer. As part of the work on developing the offer, 56 research and development offers have been prepared to date.

PB has also launched the Virtual Accelerator for Commercialisation (WAK), which is a support centre for R&D projects and entrepreneurship. The activities of the WAK focus on identifying, supporting and commercialising innovative ideas generated by the university.

The aim of the WAK is to utilise the potential and experience of the three partner technical universities: Bialystok, Lublin and Rzeszów Universities of Technology, in R&D areas. Through cooperation with the Technology Transfer Centres and Intellectual Property Protection Offices of the Network partners, the WAK aims to create conditions conducive to innovation and effectively support projects on their way from concept to market.
