Bialystok University of Technology to hold a conference “Scientific libraries – experiences of the past, challenges of tomorrow”

09.09.2021

In 2021, the Library of the Bialystok University of Technology celebrates its 70th anniversary. On this occasion, it is organizing a nationwide conference dealing with the future of scientific libraries and their contribution to the development of the academic community as the main topic.

The conference “Scientific Libraries – Experiences of the Past, Challenges of Tomorrow” will be held on September 9-10, at the Big Hall of the Białystok University of Technology.

During the event, librarians from all over Poland will share their experiences and forecasts for the future. Together, they will look for answers to questions about the development of scientific libraries: How did academic libraries cope with the pandemic? What is their impact on the evaluation of the quality of the university’s research activity? What competencies should a librarian demonstrate and who is a data librarian? What are the challenges facing research libraries?
