The Faculty of Computer Science of the Białystok University of Technology and the Signum Mathematics Popularization Center operating at it together with the Podlasie Institute of Culture are inviting participants from September 18, 2020 to the Alfa gallery in Białystok for the exhibition “Mathematics in the lens”.

The exhibition proves that everything around us is or can be mathematics. Everyday objects often reflect mathematical concepts such as polyhedron or symmetry. The phenomena and compositions illustrate the mathematical rules and regularities. Mathematics is around us, in our everyday life and at every step, it is enough to take a look and get carried away by the imagination.

The photos were taken in the last five years, as part of annual competitions organized by the Signum Mathematics Popularization Center and the Białystok Branch of the Polish Mathematical Society. The authors of the photographs are students of junior high and high schools from all over Poland.
