The Bielsko-Biała University of Technology and Humanities (ATH) has completed a project as part of the Welcome to Poland programme of the National Academic Exchange Agency. The main objective of the project was to create a Welcome Point, where foreign students and staff, as well as participants of international programmes, receive assistance in their first steps at the university and obtain necessary information about the city and Poland.
The aims of the project also included increasing the university’s capacity to recruit and serve foreign students and academic staff, enhancing the competences of staff dealing with services for foreigners and the intercultural integration of members of the academic community.
The ATH community is about to experience new events connected with the Welcome Point. The university has received funding of over PLN 145,000 from the National Agency for Academic Exchange to finance a new project entitled “Internationalisation Begins at Home – Inter-Home.
