The book of Prof. Grzegorz W. Kolodko from Kozminski University in Warsaw, “China and the Future of Globalization: The Political Economy of China’s Rise” was included in the “Summer Books of 2020: Economics” list of the Financial Times.
In his book Grzegorz W. Kolodko analyzes the economic system in China and transfers his analysis to the global economy. Through qualitative and extensive quantitative economic analysis of the global economy of Asia, Prof. Kolodko presents ways how the West can learn from China’s approach and make globalization benefit citizens again.
Grzegorz Kołodko, the former Minister of Finance in Poland, made a thoughtful, balanced and thorough analysis of global implications. He is particularly concerned about the US desire to turn China into an enemy. But, he notes, ” The rise of China is the greatest political and economic event of our era. China doesn’t want to turn other countries into enemies … It’s amazing, but China seems to have a better understanding of what’s at stake at the current civilization crossroads”. Professor Kolodko is right, – says Martin Wolf, chief economic commentator of the Financial Times.
