The Board of the Polish Geopolitical Society based in Krakow agreed to establish its branch at the State Higher Vocational School in Chełm.

The Polish Geopolitical Society was founded in 2008 as a nationwide scientific association. The main activity of the Society is organization of scientific conferences, conducting independent scientific research in thematic committees, publishing activities and popularizing geopolitics.
The Polish Geopolitical Society supports Geopolityka.net portal. It publishes the “Geopolitical Review”, “European Journal of Geopolitics”, as well as books and reports.

One of the first events organized by the branch of the Society in Chełm will be a lecture delivered by General Waldemar Skrzypczak on contemporary threats and challenges for the security of Poland, which will take place on 16 January 2019 at the State Higher Vocational School in Chełm.
