Silesian Science Festival to be hold from January 12 in Katowice

From January 12 to 14, Katowice will host the 3rd Silesian Science Festival. The program included more than one hundred and fifty exhibition stands, dozens of lectures and presentations from various areas of science as well as workshops and meetings with interesting people. The largest scientific event in southern Poland is organized by the University of Silesia along with the City of Katowice. The slogan of the event is “Energy”.

The official inauguration of the festival is scheduled for Saturday, January 12 at Teatr Śląski in Katowice. It will be led by Dr Tomasz Rożek – a graduate of the University of Silesia and one of the most recognized scientific journalists in Poland.

The inauguration program provides for a conversation with a special guest – astronaut NASA Nicole Stott, a musical-visual presentation of the project CallTrain MO4 / HG4 prepared by Prof. Marian Oslislo from the Katowice Academy of Fine Arts and accompanying musicians, as well as presenting Silesian Academic Awards.
