A medical faculty has been officially opened at Bydgoszcz University of Technology. The first year of medical students will start training there in October 2024.
The new, ninth faculty at the Technical University will initially consist of the Department of Basic Research and the Department of Clinical Medicine. Twenty-three medics, including professors, post-doctoral fellows, doctors of medicine and doctors of medicine, are already starting work at the faculty. As training develops, the staff will be gradually expanded. The work of the faculty will be headed by Professor Małgorzata Tafil-Klawe, in her capacity as dean.
“I am honoured to be able to participate in the creation of a new faculty, which is so important in view of the current situation of medicine in Poland. At the same time, I am aware that this is a big challenge. I look forward to working with the entire academic community. We want to educate doctors at a good, European level,” says the dean.
