At Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University (UKSW) in Warsaw, two priests from Cameroon presented their doctoral theses: Rev. Louis Mbuych Ngeh and Rev. Marcel Msekenyuyfio Kpudzek. The promotion was attended by the Minister of Education and Science, Przemysław Czarnek, and Bishop George Nkuo, Bishop of the Kumbo Diocese in Cameroon.
“Our University has for many years been involved in the global process of educating and supporting students from Africa. One of the stages of this process is today’s defence of doctoral theses of students from Cameroon”, said Rev. Prof. Ryszard Czekalski, Rector of UKSW. At the same time, he stressed that this would not have been possible without the openness and help of the Ministry of Education and Science.
Minister Przemysław Czarnek assured that the ministry under his leadership wants to be involved in the education at the highest level of those who want to be educated in Poland. “And such education is guaranteed by Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University,” said Czarnek, adding that education is a chance for a better future for people from Africa. The knowledge gained by students and doctoral students will be shared in their home countries.
