Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw begins cooperation with the University of Bethlehem

Rector of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University (UKSW) in Warsaw, Prof. Stanisław Dziekoński and Prof. Michael Sansur, rector of the University of Bethlehem, signed a letter of intent on cooperation between universities.

The University of Bethlehem is a Catholic university, which was created as a result of the pilgrimage of Pope Paul VI to the Holy Land in 1964.
The university was founded in 1973, based on the school run by the school friars from 1909. At present, approximately 3,500 students study at the University. The university is open to all religions. 76% of the academic community are Muslims, and 24% are Christians (various rites). The vast majority of students (77%) are women. The Chancellor of the University is Archbishop Leopoldo Girelli, the Apostolic Nuncio in Israel.
