21.09.2020

The Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University (UKSW) in Warsaw has launched the CATO supercomputer, which is used to perform high-performance computing. It will be part of the UKSW digital technologies campus in Dziekanów Leśny.

This is the most modern technology available at the university of the humanities – said Jarosław Szymczuk, general director of IBM Polska, about the UKSW supercomputer.

The Center for Digital Science and Technology UKSW implements projects primarily based on the achievements of science using the latest artificial intelligence technologies, both for business and state and scientific institutions.

Thanks to the supercomputer, high performance computing (HPC) will be extended to the tasks of artificial intelligence (AI – Artificial Intelligence) and high-performance data analysis (HPDA – High Performance Data Analytics). CATO enables modeling and simulations based on big data sets.
